The THPG door handles essentially consist of two parts: a solid steel frame with a nickel-plated brass crank and a replaceable handle sleeve, which is fixed to the sleeve carrier by means of a stainless steel flat-head sleeve nut (M8 15/20). Only a 5 mm Allen key is required for mounting and dismounting the handle sleeve.

In this case, the grip is made of solid oak. Oak wood has earned a reputation throughout history for its almost proverbial durability and hardness. And indeed, it is among the most resistant and robust types of wood in Europe. It is weatherproof and water-resistant, bend-resistant and elastic. Not that it necessarily needs to fully utilize these properties as the grip of a ballpoint pen or pencil, but they do become noticeable over years of use, in the way it is looked at and handled: You can feel that you are holding something organically grown and extremely durable in your hands.
