Toggle switch with durable brass switching mechanism and solid screw contacts. The central insert is made of black glazed porcelain, the toggle lever of Bakelite, and the body of steatite, a proven ceramic material.

This version is a cross switch. A cross switch is necessary when a light fixture needs to be controlled from more than two locations. Two-way switches are used to control a light fixture from up to two locations.
