switch series flush-mounted Duroplast

In the first half of the 20th century, the term Bakelite had become practically synonymous with plastics, and since the emergence of its thermoplastic descendants, the name has been used colloquially to distinguish the old, heavy thermosets (melamines, phenolic resins) from what is more or less disparagingly called simply "plastic." However, contrary to what everyone assumes based on common usage, Bakelite is not a generic term, but a trademark, specifically one belonging to Bakelite AG of Iserlohn (which, since its parent company Rütgerwerke sold it to Borden Chemical in 2005, has had various owners among American chemical companies and is now part of Momentive Specialty Chemicals). This presents us with a terminological problem: Bakelite is a thermoset, but not every thermoset is Bakelite. We must therefore differentiate: The black and white switch series are both made of thermosets, but only the black series is Bakelite in the trademark sense, while the white series is pressed from a related synthetic resin.
